A quick summary of our progress as we get seriously close to our scheduled official departure on “THE GREAT LOOP” CONQUER AMERICAS ULTIMATE WATERBORNE ADVENTURE. weather permitting after making final provisioning, mechanical and operational inspections we plan to leave Monday morning January 9,2023 sun-up “ItsAboutTime” departs Safe Harbor Aqua Yacht Harbor, (Mile Marker 448.2) south on the Tenn-Tom waterway through three locks Whitten, Montgomery, Rankin arriving Midway Marina mid-late afternoon. Over the following 10 Days it is the goal to arrive at the Wharf Marina in Orange Beach, Florida for 3 days and nights.

Prelude: We closed on our 2014 Azimut 45′ Sportbridge August 6, 2022 in Dania Beach, Florida where we hired a training Captain and invested in the repairs and upgrades to convert (living the dream) previously commissioned as a day boat to new name “ItsAboutTime” a full time ‘live aboard’ travel Yacht.

This Yacht has three state rooms 2 full baths with Showers, full galley, large Salon, sleeps 8 with 5 flat screen TV’s, 2 helms and very spacious flybridge. Mike and I where signed off by the training Captain as Captains of our own ship on June 13, 2022 the remainder of June we made way from Harbor Town Marina, up the ICW, across and thru the Okeechobee to Ft. Meyers, north to Tarpon Springs, Jumped the Gulf of Mexico to Carrabella Florida, to Mobile Bay and North on the TomBigBee to the Tennessee River and Aqua Yacht Harbor.

We expect to pause for several days January 20-23, 2023 in Orange Beach, February 7-14 St. Petersburgh, Fl., February 17-22, 2023 Captiva Fl. If you are going to be in any of those regions during these time frames please plan to visit.
