Day 7 end of week 1 Sunday January 15 day in Port of FairHope docks Marina.

Sunday we stayed in Port adjusted our float plan for Week two. Tuesday we will depart Fairhope Docks for the Wharf in Orange Beach Wednesday to Shalimar, Florida arriving at “Two Georges Marina” We are planning two full days in Port in Shalimar so Mike can conduct some business with his brokers and I can be available for the Mathews Companies Board Meeting Thursday and State of Arkansas Science and Technology Board of Directors meeting Friday. Saturday weather permitting will push off to Point South Marina Panama City Beach, FL.

Called a mechanic Sunday as both our bilge pumps are non-operable and we needed a Navigation Bulb replaced. Mechanic Nicolas Wheeler was on board Sunday evaluated the problems concluding we needed new limit switch for Engine room bilge and all new bilge pump assembly for under cabin bilge. Nick located and purchased the parts on Sunday and promised to return Monday morning to install.

I took and very Pleasant 3 mile walk as the weather was sunny and high 50’s.

We are happy to report that we had our first boat visitor Sunday when as planned at the DHI show our Southeaster sales Representative for National Custom Hollow Metal Doors Walter Crenshaw joined us onboard for tour. Walter has a second home here in FairHope. After tour Walter was good enough to take us to town to purchase some provisions at the Piggly Wiggly then he took us as his guests to Fairhope Yachtclub right across the channel from our Marina where we sat on the sunset deck and watched a beautiful sunset sharing some dock-tails. Met many of Walters wonderful friends at the Yacht Club and then off to dinner at a restaurant named Sunset Pointe.

Summary of week 1:

5 Travel days,

402 nautical miles,

581 Gallons of Diesel fuel
